Out Like a Lion or Lamb?
I don't paint still life, pure landscapes, or florals very often but I had fun painting these yellow tulips with the Mason Area Painters at Snyder House a few weeks ago and was happy to get to paint with that group again today.
This image cheers me up after a bout of flu and it reminds me of the beautiful early spring weather we've enjoyed most of the month of March this year -- it was great to see so many flowers and trees blossoming all at once.
But March came in like a lamb and it may go out like a lion; I hear it's supposed to freeze tonight. I've been working on a winter painting that's not quite finished yet, along with a sketch of the Ringling Estate Ca d'Zan in Florida, so stay tuned for some photos of those in the near future.
